It seems online marketplaces seldom offer direct coupons as product prices are decided by their sellers, not by themselves. If you visit eBay, Alibaba, Aliexpress or DHgate regularly, you will agree on what I said. Anyway, occasionally I do see they launch coupons with small face values for newly registered members to enlarge their customer bases. And I found Aliexpress is giving away such a coupon recently.
From February 22 to April 30, if you register with Aliexpress.com, you will receive a $5 coupon, which can be redeemed on your first order of $50 or more. Note that the coupon is available for U.S. buyers only. Aliexpress claims that they offer 1000 coupons only each day. Do they really have that many new buyers joined with them? I seriously doubt it. I don’t think it necessary to rush to get the coupon by opening your Aliexpress account immediately – if you do miss out the chance to grab the coupon today, why not take it the next day? HAHA! Just look around the Aliexpress.com site to see if they have something you want to purchase first. See details of the Aliexpress coupon >>
I intend to share this coupon information simply because I know many people hope to buy products (especially in bulk) directly from China and this coupon may help them save a little bit. Besides, as I always encourage people to place a sample order to test an online shopping website they have never tried before, $5 seems to make sense, doesn’t it?

The biggest concern is about the security of payment: Which payment method do I use? Will my money go forever while my order never arrives? If the product I receive does not work as described or is damaged, can I get my money back?, and so on. We all know that paying by credit card is the safest option as we can file a chargeback on the purchase if we are not satisfied for whatever reason. Or, at least we should use Paypal to make the payment as it is an internationally reputable payment service provider. Nevertheless, we have to face the fact that most Chinese suppliers, especially smaller ones, have great difficulties in applying for credit card because of the strict government regulations and criteria. As a result, while being the least safe to buyers, Western Union and wire transfer are the most popular payment methods accepted by the vast majority of Chinese sellers.
